Title: Rule question from a WERA rider
Post by: blueduc37 on December 12, 2004, 10:45:57 AM
I may run some with you guys this year but:

What classes would an SV650 superstock spec bike fit into?  I'm 41 and just turned WERA expert.

Competitiveness is tough to generalise since it varies by region, but I'd break it out from easiest to toughest like this:

Lightweight Supersport (stock inlet size on air filter)
Formula-40 (if 40+ years old, top 3 in MW are fast)
Lightweight Superbike
Lightweight Grand Prix
Thunderbike
GT Lights (30-min race)
SuperTwins

...and you can race up a class if you really want to.

Thunderbike between LTGP and Supertwins and I'd would move GTl to more diffucult than LtGp as it is 30 minute race with LtGP rules but it is only purse class for lightweight machines.

Agreed and edited.  Forgot about Thunderbike since I didn't do much of it last year.

I wish.  250GP bikes are not allowed in GTLights, but are in LWGP, so in reality a superbike SV is about the best bike for GTL.
