QuoteWow, so you bury the dog crap from a pair of huskies in the gravel at VIR?  That's more disgusting than I thought you were, funny you see nothing wrong with this, well not surprising of course.

At VIR I take my dogs for walks well away from anywhere a person might go, in the grass, pick up the crap and put it in a trasahcan also far form where anyone is pitting.  That is called being responsible.  Covering it with an inch or so of gravel is not.  Please keep that in mind in March, thanks :)

And making assumptions is the mother of all... well, you know the rest.

I didn't say it was under an inch of gravel so don't put words in my mouth.

And you say 'pair of huskies' like I'm breeding St Benards or something.  Ever met my dogs (or me for the matter)?  Didn't think so.  They're not big, not even remotely.  A 35lb dog isn't exactly a poop machine.

You also don't know where I pit, which 99% of the time, is as FAR away from the rest of the paddock as possible, usually way way back by the storage shed thing.  Not exactly a high traffic area, which I do on purpose because while I do clean up after my dogs, I can't be there 100% of the time.

QuoteIt has about as much to do with LRRS as you do ... now. ;-)

Zoinks! That'll leave a mark.  ;D

Mongo

Poop machine or not I can't see anyone wanting to pit in your litterbox.  And it's not he said she said - this is what YOU said.  I assumed you'd pick the crap up and put it in a trashcan for disposal - is that the erronous assumption I amde you're tlaking about?

I have 4 dogs, I've had dogs all my life, they crap the same time(s) every day. They don't crap where they live and that includes their temporary home at the track when properly cared for.  But hey - keep blaming the pups.  ::)

and burial underground isn't considered disposal?  Do you plan on digging that deep with your bare hands in your free time?

Its underground, out of sight, odorless, biodegradable, etc.  Whats the problem.

Mongo

The problem is that it's buried in loose soil (again - you said the gravel, not me) in the middle of a race paddock.  Hell no that's not acceptable!

How about AGAIN, its not in the middle, so you can stop saying that now.

Yes, the top section is lose kitty liter gravel.  I ALSO said I dug and buried under it--not skimming the surface.

But dont worry Mongo, I wouldn't expect anything less than you giving me constant grief.  For christ sake, at least YOU speak up ahead of time and let everyone know that you hate them.

Mongo

ROTFLMAO - so now it's not the middle - fine, change my comment ot anywhere in a race paddock.

It's not below just the loose stuff - digging loosens soil but either way, with a trashcan feet away why would you dig holes in their paddock and bury dog crap?

On the rest -  ::)

And to clarify further, I do collect into a plastic bag and put in the dumpster as well.

You know, small kids like to dig in the dirt.

If my daughter digs up a turd in the paddock at VIR while playing . . .

Fine Dave, next time you decide to race, you let me know if your daughter digs up a turd.

She's a bit young to be playing in the dirt, though.

The_Monkey_King

She advanced for her age. She digs dirt digging.

She's also wicked fast on her quad.

So now we have that one pretty well straight - here's the parking incident I was talking about - yet again oddly enough - your own words back to haunt ya :)

" I've parked my trailer in the same spot for years and years, and its never really been a problem as I get there pretty early on Thursday.
Last year a newbie started parking there. I asked him if I could have my spot back in the future.
A year later now, and I still haven't gotten my spot back.
I don't make a big deal of it and just park somewhere else (which tends to be a challenge with such a big truck/trailer combo) but there will be no x-mas cards sent in the future. God help him if ever comes looking for a tool or spare part."
