You know, this thread has reminded me of the difference between Illinois deer signs and Wisconsin deer signs.  The Illinois sign has side view of a rather efemate looking deer prancing gayly, while the Wisconsin sign features a 3/4 front view of a pissed-off stag with a huge rack, rearing up as if to trample you underfoot!
As a F.I.B., I always grinned with appreciation at the seriousness of the Wisconsin sign. ;D
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

QuoteH?  You do remember that Bambi was a movie about a male deer, right?  And knowing Jiggy....

To tell the truth, I've never seen the movie "Bambi".  Just seen clips from it and heard lots about it.  I never realized it was about a male deer.  :-/

So how come "Bambi" is a girl's name? ???  Or am I venturing into "don't go there territory? :-X

I'm going to venture a guess.  In one of the James Bond movies, (Diamonds are Forever, maybe?) there were these two evil hot chicks who beat the hell outta Bond.  They were Kung Fu gymnasts in bikinis.  Before the fight, they introduced themselves as Bambi and Thumper.  In the Disney flick, Thumper was a male rabbit who was pals with Bambi.  So I'm thinking that might be where the name crossed genders, but it's just a guess.

what if the hokey pokey really is what it's all about?

Ah this is a great board.  Where else could you logically combine deer, tractors, sexual preferences and Bambi all in the same thread.   ;D

Ever notice that for some of the deer crossing signs have a silouette with the front legs are up (as if about to take off in flight).  Others have a silouette with the front legs down and the rear legs up (as if just landing from a jump)?  They'd be in the same state.  The same county sometimes.

My kids and I always get a kick commenting about the deer take-off and landing zones.

Well, just something to think about.  But not too long.
