  Remember that this is for a streetbike.  As I said I have Penskes on both my race bikes.  This is for a buddy that might do one track day this year.  We are installing springs and emulators in the forks,  his budget is spent,  I thought this would be an inexpensive way to do something with the shock.  Thanks - Johnny

If it's for the sake of doing one track day this year, why bother?? I'd just leave the stock shock in.  Unless your buddy has already spent a fair amount of time on the track, he/she is likely not going to get to the point in a day where the finer aspects of suspension setup are going to have any effect at all on their enjoyment of a track day.
