It really didn't suck THAT bad.  Sure, a 170 mph race on a dirt road is hard to believe.  Sure, having the finish line of that race be the end of a driveway that dead ends into a road, yet no one has a hard time stopping from 170 in that 12 foot runoff area was hard to believe.  Doesn't everyone wear open face helmets to drag race?
There were some bright spots.  The opening crash was very well done, and was a perfect explanation of why street racing is stupid.  The hero's girlfriend was perhaps the cutest little black girl I've ever seen.  Hey!  DRIVEN was 100 times worse.
Let's face it.  If we made a good movie about bike racing, who'd like it besides us?
The frame was snapped, the #3 rod was dangling from a hole in the cases, and what was left had been consumed by fire.  I said, "Hey, we've got all night!"

Were does hollywood get it's consultants from ?? Days of thunder-the cars are covered in dirt and there is more debris on the track then in most dumps. Driven- 200 mph throught the streets of Chicago with no helmet or eye protection, stick your head out the window of your car at 60 and keep yours eyes wide open... Mission impossible 2- knobby tyres on street bikes and how about the two stroke sound trac for a street bike and now this P.O.S. - Hey Hollywood, I'm a consultant let me know when you want to do this thing proper.. At least we can expect for a few people (who don't know better) to try this crap, and that will get us more cheap damaged bikes for race projects ;D ;D

QuoteYou can live it in person if you come the Myrtle Beach SC over Memorial Day weekend. Over the past few years over 100k black bikerboyz and girls come down here and pretty much take over the beach during that week. 5 or 6 die every year, no helmets, reckless driving/speeding. With this movie stiring the pot I look forward to this being a bad year.  :(

I am the proud owner of www.blackbikeweekonline.com :) I actually miss a race weekend every year to attend. Most guys are squids and should not be on a bike, but I think they will find something else to kill themselve doing anyways. It is just a vacation and big party for me though... hey people do what they like on their own choice, and the women are always a good sight... you may not like it, I do enjoy it quite so

in chicago, we got (or have) china town, greek town, ...alot of towns......
i dont eat liver, or raw fish, or medium rare steak (well if im hungry and dont want to send it back, i'll eat it)

my too senses is that you can do what you like, and i may question how you can be interested in it, but i wont ever be an expert on pleasing you (whomever we're talking about) just like SOOOO many people wonder "wutdaf..the thrill is about flying around a corner on that stupid arse death machine" we call roadracing.

in short, to each his own.

and everyone be sure that im only adding .02 (two cents)
i vote that we all do what we like! nevermind the naysayers....most arent happy with what they do, and can threaten your happiness if you pay too much (any) attention...
even those movie makers, i bet theres a profit.

40. Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, but powerful beyond measure. We were all meant to shine, as children do. When our light shines, we liberate others.
