So whose staying up tonight trying to get our bikes ready for races this weekend?  Zookie is still on life support from the turn 10 wadding and tirewall kiss at Summit Pt two weeks ago, and today is the all day, all night, git her done fest.  Sub frame still broked, forks, all bodywork trashed, seat, clutch lever, brackets.... I poured rocks out of my air filter yesterday!  aaagggghhhh!  No wonder my kids have no college fund left!  Must head out to Shenandoah in 3 days.  Must race, can't think straight unless knee rubs along asphalt at least once every two weeks...

It's Tuesday...  Pulling an all-nighter on Tuesday is more like preparation than fire-fighting...

Rebuilding a motor in the back of a trailer on Saturday night at Road America is a fire-fight...

Hey Art, I know you're a preacher. I know for a fact you committed at least one wedding. Maybe now is a good time to consider trying a funeral. Let the poor bike rest in peace man.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOOOHOOO! What a freaken ride"

is it a bad thing that i already have chris's bike prepped cleaned and back in the trailer? am i using my time too efficiently and should start slacking some or did i do good?

11:15pm, surgury successful...we have a heartbeat!  Picked up bodywork, all the little holes matched! Subframe arrived and installed, blowtorch and powerful press straightened frame slider bolts, and zip ties are da bomb!  Made the lunch run in exchange for using all the stuff at the bikeshop, drilled, cut, taped, tightened, rubber coated hammer does wonders...and she's even sitting mostly straight.  Just tires left tomorrow.  Hope everyone else is coming along as well, no funeral yet Bill, looks like the #220 bike has got at least one more weekend in her.  Three days till knee down! :thumb: bam bam, sounds like ya done good, cause something else will come up last minute.  Oh...like duct taping the agv's.

I'll see that bet, and raise you.  I have to do everything tonight.  All my bodywork just got painted (thanks a bunch Jamie, it looks great).  I have to mount the tank and get some gas in it.  Then I can change the oil.  (I'm waiting on this so that I can crank it to move oil through the motor when I top it off)  Then I get to put all my sponsor stickers back on the bike, along with the pieces of a GSXR sticker kit that I'm going to use.  Then put the stomp grip back on the tank.  Then change the oil in my truck, b/c it has to be done before I put in the 900 mile trip.  Then hook up my trailer and get everything loaded, b/c I have to leave from work tomorrow afternoon since I'm doing the practice day and it takes me 7.5 hours to get to the track.  Talk about all nighter.

Wow bro, I think you might win this hand.  I just finished new tires, bodywork and stickers tonight, (stickers make ya faster ya know), and last minute zip tie check.  Shes loaded on the trailer.  Git her done man, and safe travels.  cbr-racer, hope yer caterpillars arrive, I'm still waitin for an e-bay fender.

Man, I suck at poker.  You fold, and I raise again.  I spent over two hours last night putting a water/power steering pump belt on my roommate's car b/c her old one decided to stay in my driveway when she left.  So I was on my back, in a parking lot, in the dark, under a Jetta fixing it.  But I did it, so now she can go places while I'm out of town.  I got up at 6 this morning to start working on my stuff.  Worked till 10:15, showed up to work 3 hours late, and I'm still not quite done.  I'll be at the track at about 3 in the morning.  Someone save me a space outside the gate.

It just wouldn't be racing if I were prepared would it?
