Becka knows that it's a good thing to talk nice to the Crash Truck Driver (except for Rob, of course!)

Karen, you gave Becka's bike a ride at Gateway in June.  Turn 6 wasn't it?  I don't think Becka got to ride along with you though.  She got a boo-boo on her arm that needed a fashion accessory.... something about a cast suitable for an inmate, right?

I believe I picked two women up out that direction that day.  the one that sticks out in my head was the crash right before lunch in the torrential downpour.  that was fun, I might as well gone swimming in my clothes.  I was wringing water out of my shirt for some time and I looked like a drowned rat.     I made my partner hold the bike for the ride back in, so he had it a little worse than I did.

This would have been the same race that Paul James (Buell #9) went mechanical at turn 4 or 5.  Becka passed him to take the lead only to go down in the same lap at turn 6.

Becka must have been the 2nd one that day.  the one I'm thinking about was probably between turns 4 and 5 I think....  whoever she was, she had to wait in the rain while I took the first trailer load of bikes in.  she kept apologizing for getting my seat wet, told her it couldn't be any worse than what I was doing to it myself.  that day was something.

those first two track weekends this year ran me ragged.  alot of crashes.  the last 2 weekends went much better.
