I did the fuel cell, 900SS aluminum swingarm, lightweight wheels, aftermarket lightened front rotors, cut the rear of the frame off which was 6.5lbs in itself, lightweight cam pulleys, lightened and balanced crank, lighter but stronger carillo rods, lightened some internal gears and generator.

Yup...Donnie is doing the work.  He has done a great job in the past and Im sure its gonna be good to go this time also.  The throttle has been like this since it was brand new out of the crate.  We are putting a 1/5th turn on it.  I thought it was because it was a single cable vs the push/pull dual cable with the SV's.  I am hoping to get this thing fairly competative vs the Buell's in ASRA Thunderbike.  I think the 40lb weight reduction is gonna be huge on top of the HP and torque gains.

what does it weigh now that it has lost 40 lbs?

It was 371 at an ASRA round last year with 2 gallons in the tank.  So should be roughly 331.  A lot of the weight is reciprocating weight such as the wheels, rotors, crank, rods, gears etc...  I also added a set of the steering stem bearings that Sean O Sullivan sells...the offset ones.

OK. I'll play. Dustin off the .65 Litre Duc Eater!

So Clayton, does this mean you won't be running (non-LW) Formula-40?

Damn, I knew last year when I got back into racing I should have done it with a LW, but nooooo, I had to go and get myself a 600 like all the young(er) guys were riding....

We can help you with that situation. We have Ducati's, Ninja 650 and SV's on hand. If your 600 has a clean title, you could be there very easily.

I'll still be in F40 because someone has to race Bill, Dean & Randy. I could race LW F40 on my SS but I plan to race F40 unless the classes are split apart with some other race. As it is I'll be in LW GP, LW SB, F40, Thunderbike & SuperTwins. One more race could kill a guy my age... :lmao:    CP

Ok, you are not allowed to make a post asking about who is racing GP LW if you aren't putting you stinking name on the list.  What afraid of the competition!!!!!!!!

I believe you forgot Mr. Fast himself - Jack "That Just Happened!" Brock.
Anthony Flaimm (sp?) should be white plated this year as well.

by the time rich figures out there will be nice big juicy LW grids he'll  also figure out he cant get a bike quick enough to run the series...

c'mon rich, be a part of the solution.  If everyone took your stance we'd never have a full grid!!!

Looking better each day for me...

Rich forgot a few:

Shun - Now white plated
Kevin Clark decided to do it too.
Chase
Jack
Flaim

We could probably get Wooten too if we could figure out to rebadge a SV into a Honda...

Plus a bunch of yellow plates - Jay Hanson, Dan Boynton, Bruce Meyer, Dave Tyrell and at least that many I'm forgetting right now.

Anthony - Rich will keep making excuses and miss the fun. Sucks to be him. We'll have a blast. You going to the TAB in KC next week?    Clayton
