BTW-my opinion on LW is the bikes are cheaper to buy, cheaper to maintain, and just as much fun.  I'm glad we are getting some converts and a grid.  I feel the number of racers we loose(overall) each year would be far less if some would realize what a good value the LW bikes are.

I'm tryin, I'm tryin! I just need to KNOW that there will be a full LW grid before I commit!  Selling the R6 and buying another LW bike is a lot of work just to find out that there are three LW racers every weekend!

If you really are only looking for competition then what does it matter how many riders there are, as long as they are all competitive. From what ive seen out of you, you will be competitive with anthony, becca, dan, and brock, all of whom have basically commited to a full season. So who cares if there are 6 more filler guys behind you? (not directed at anyone else running the lw class, i dont know alot of you guys so cant comment on how fast you are) If your real motivation is tire money, then yeah I understand the need, but you only need 6 for michelin to pay top 3. Ill try and hit a few round just on the fact that it will be cheap to tag along with anthony or dan or becca. Ill bring the 750 along, and maybe the SV if you really want me to.

Actually you can add my name to the list.  I'll be running my old 748 in Thunderbike, which is a lightweight class (kind of ironic given what a heavy tank the 748 is).

So, we only need two more for the ban!  Dave Terrell needs to step up here.

Sorry Greg, but I'm still a yellow plate so I don't count.  I will be enjoying the show from the second wave!

Damn!   Wish I was still starting races for the GP Region.   Rich would never run a race without at least 1 meatball!!!  :spank:

Okay, this whole string has been dominated by you white plates, but it's got me interested enough in a LW bike again that I'm taking a big long road trip next weekend to pick up one to throw some yellow plates on (at least one more season ).  Last time I was on a LW it was a Honda Hawk duking it out and swearing at the power advantage of the Ducati 750/900SSs.  Now I'll be riding an SV650 duking it out and swearing at the power advantage of the 1000SSs.  Some things never change.

Jarel - I ended up finding a used SV with a pretty good spares set, so I'm picking up that option.  For whoever's interested, the Ducati Omaha guys said they have enough around to build an SV650 and they might be expecting another 1000ss in soon.

Uh oh, someone's baiting us into the Ducati vs. SV controversy again... tread carefully!  Everyone's got something to swear about.  I will admit that I did less swearing about the competition this years on the 1000ss than I did on my Hawk in 2006
