So what your saying is you guy's don't think a stock 65 HP bike has much of a chance?

Didn't Shun win some AM races last year on a stock motored Ninja650?  Couldn't be more than 62~65 horsepower there.

You'll be fine. LW classes are alot less aggressive than other classes in my opinion.

I've won some expert races on a SS SV that dyno'd 62hp at the ASRA HPT race.  I think that dyno reads low from what I was told, but I would think you aren't that far off of what you need if the bike does everything else right.

FP dyno's read about 15% lower than DJ numbers.

On a normal weekend at a reasonable track a low hp sv with a superior rider will beat the superior bike with a low talent rider. Some tracks will just kill you on a low hp bike, but most in the GP arent to bad if I remember right. As im sure you know Brett, its much more about chassis and ability on the lw bikes. Hell I got beat at the GNF by a fast SS SV and I was on my SB. I ran the faster lap times and led on the last lap, but the guy did a great job of taking advantage of my mistake and it was over. Same goes for whoopin rediculus bikes like Claytons, be in the right place to block the thing, and be in the right place to draft the monster and you will have no problems handling the guy late in the race.

What about all those bikes I pulled down MAM's front straight on my nekid SV? Must have been that angled MX number plate. :)
Here's proof for Rich.....
Check about 5:20 in, Kevin is the first bike in the picture.  At about 7:55, there is some really good footage.  Man that guy brakes late!

A factory dyno (used at asra) reads about 11 to 12% low compared to a dynojet dyno.

Your bike would have make around 69 to 69.5hp on a dynojet.

Hey Guy! Should I buy some new rain tires this year? LOL!!!

BrettRay76

I'm working on getting the bike here before Daytona. If it works out I will be at some of the local CCS races for sure.
Wait till you see it, it'll make you ... well just wait.
