I am working on a list myself.  I will share it with you when I am done.

Here are some basic things to remember with highly tuned motors:
- check the barometric pressure, air temperature and air density.  The more you tune, the closer you must observe.
- read your plugs.  2-stroke riders perform plug chops, not sure if this would work for 4-strokes.  This would not only indicate a need for fuelling adjustment, but also for possible spark timing adjustment.

Good Luck.

Thats the problem with any motor.  When you tune them to the hilt, they go boom a lot faster.

I heard the guys at BCM are good.

MCC in Chicago sponsored me the last two years I raced Ducatis and did a standup job with my bike.  I raced a 996 last year with minimal mods and ran 17 weekends with it without a hiccup.  I split the cases once mid year and replaced the rod bearings which still looked pretty good. I did 5 races a weekend along with Friday practice and Thursday Visionsport schools.

If you want, give them a call and talk to Greg, one of the owners 630-782-2010

I do understand your passion for Ducatis though.

Until one has race one, you have no idea what you're missing!  They simply rule in the fun factor category.
