Some wondered why I did this, others didn't care.  It really had nothing to do with anything motorcycle wise or donating.  It was how people vote.

Several weeks ago I was with a Missouri state rep and lobbyist.  They are friends of mine.  Every time I see them I beat up on them about some specific motorcycle legislation (that is a whole different discussion).  Every time, they look at me like I'm crazy.  The legislation actually went to the Governor once and was vetoed.  The other time it passed the house and was never voted on in the senate.  It so irritates me.

Anyway, I tell them that the people who want it, really want it.  Others, it would not affect at all.  It would also generate money for the state.  As the night goes on they tell me a stupid story that makes no sense to me whatsoever.

A town is dying of thirst because they have no water.  A man donates land with water under it and a drilling company offers to drill the well for free (I'm thinking, just buy bottle water).  The township turns it down because the land owner is hated by all and the driller is a man of questionable character.  Several in the town die of thirst.

These two professional politicians tell me that people will vote based on the detriment of others and sometimes their own detriment (if it causes others even more woe) if they don't like the messenger.  Sort of like, you can punch me three times if I can just punch you once.

So, that is what gave me this idea.

Now I know the legislation I wanted will never get passed, because  people would rather vote against a rude, self centered, obnoxious, loudmouth, anonymous, bbs persona that I created, rather than take free money that may help them, their family or friends.

I really don't care what your motivation is but I think your donating to a good cause.

Karma clicks do not cost anything, crashing into something unprotected can cost allot!!!

I know nothing of over-reactor...and I am sure that there are a few peeps who do.  But if there is a chance that, by clicking a friggin button, he will actually send $500 bucks to the AFF, I will positive karma the crap out of his screen name.  P.S. One Karma per hour per board rules.
