FNG here.

So I'm looking at the schedule and wondering who is going, where do you stay (to avoid your bike being stolen) and what races do you plan to enter?
As for me, I confirmed I'm in the amateur class, have never been to CMP (or any other U.S. Track) and have no idea where to stay.

As for races, with an 07 GSXR 750 I plan to enter (Saturday only):
GTO
F-40
H Supersport

So, as asked, any tips one cars to share on the track (surface condition, run-off etc) or good hotels please feel free to expound
I can also use a tow on the 18th!

I'm in Northern Va so a bit far away.

I watched a video and the track surface looks like it changes from concrete to asphalt or some combination thereof?  Is traction consistent throughout or does it depend where you are at the moment?

Dude! How are you gonna fit four bikes in that little trailer?  Do you need to borrow some tie down straps and lag bolts for the roof??    :ahhh:

Solo, camping at the track is cool, I personally have only stolen two bikes, (neither made me faster), and there is a great mom and pop restaurant in town with an affordable buffet.  Tips for the track, dont risk ramming the chaplain to keep from being forced into eternal damnation, oh yeah, score points with the Big Guy, and let me win.  See ya there bro.

The track surface is rough in general but they have repaved most of the corners so they are a good bit smoother.I'd say grip is good and consistant even going from the old to new stuff and new to old.Kinda messed with my head alittle at first but it's all good.+1 for camping. There is power and hot showers. They also have open garages for rent.Might want to bring a piece of outdoor carpet,a big tarp,or some plywood to park your bike on cause it's kinda sandy in the pits.Roads are paved but they won't let you park your bike on them. It's so the ambulances can get by easy.Hope this helps some.
