Well, its been a year since I've retired and hung up the ol gun n badge, so this being the first full year of serving full time as a roadracin chaplain, I thought yoots guys might like to see what I used to do for the past 23 years.

On any given day I would serve as traffic control, air traffic control and generally got called when things were out of control.

I hung out with people who had lots of money and cool toys.

And of course, there were the exotic sportscars.

There were a couple tough days.

And the peeps I used to work with, (I'm the ugly one standing, for you MW folks I aint met yet).

And I traded it all in for...An adventure with Friends, the best folks anyone could ever ask for the privilege of going through life with.

Thank you.  I know having talked to a bunch of our racing bros, that this season is gonna be tight for a lot of us with the economy, and for many, tough decisions will need to be made.  I once heard a guy say, "if you cant afford to race you shouldnt be out here."  And though I understand what he meant, I must disagree, because he didnt take into account what happens to us at a racing weekend and the weeks leading up to a weekend.  It gets in our blood, and just thinkin bout getting together at the track helps us through the daily grind.  Heck, being racers even inspires our kids and helps them learn about sacrifice, respect and how to glean victory from defeat.  And that is priceless.  My point being, even if ya cant afford to toss the bike down the track for all the events you would like to make, still come along and share the bench racing.  We've all had to serve as pit crew when we been broked up from a wad, so there's no shame in not being out on track.

My CCS racing family has indeed become my family, and I could never have imagined the friendship, and adventure that has filled these past almost 5 years of hanging with all of you.  See yas at the track,  and as always, if ya ever wanna talk, or the crap hits the fan, pm me 24/7, gixxer can be almost anywhere east of the mississippi in 12 hours,
