Summit Point Motorsport Park would like to invite the community to watch the USA 2019 Mille Miglia Warm Up on the Shenanandoah Circuit on October 23, 2019. All spectators are welcome at no charge. Come and help us celebrate this unique event at Summit Point!

The 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA 2019 will take place from Wednesday 23rd to Saturday 26th October in partnership with the Italian Embassy in Washington, Alfa Romeo, Chopard, Alitalia and the Summit Point Motorsports Park.
After the success of the 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA 2018, this year the event will expand regarding both the number of participating cars and the number of days for the race and the overall winner will be awarded the inaugural Coppa USA (USA Cup).

The event, which will feature one day of regularity rally training followed by a three-day race in the true 1000 Miglia style and format, is reserved for up to 40 cars in two classes: the 1000 Miglia Era Class and the Post-1000 Miglia Era Class. The first will be open to 1000 Miglia eligible cars, built between 1927 and 1957, as well as significant sports and grand touring cars built during the same period; the second will be open to sports, grand touring and supercars cars built from 1958 to present.
The crews will be divided into two categories: novice and veterans, based on the number of participations in the last seven editions of the 1000 Miglia. Veteran competitors are the crews with at least one driver with experience in two or more 1000 Miglia between 2013 and 2019 and novice competitors are those with less or no experience in the 1000 Miglia.

In addition to the Coppa USA (reserved for the winner of the 1000 Miglia Era Class), crews will also compete for eight guaranteed entries to the 1000 Miglia race in May 2020. These guaranteed entries will be distributed to the two top veteran competitors in each class (1000 Miglia Era and Post-1000 Miglia Era) and two top novice competitors in each class.

Wednesday 23rd October will be reserved as the warm up race training day at nearby Summit Point Motorsports Park – the 1000 Miglia technical partner for the event. The instruction will include road book and regularity race training with 1000 Miglia instructors on the challenging Shenandoah circuit.

The USA championship race cover over 500 miles and will start Thursday, October 24th in Middleburg, Virginia and end on Saturday, October 26th in Washington, DC. The routes for Thursday and Friday will start and end in Middleburg. On Saturday, the race will start in Middleburg, pass though Point of Rocks, Maryland with a stop at Congressional Country Club, before passing near the U.S. Capitol, and ending, on Italian soil, at Villa Firenze. The 1000 Miglia Warm Up USA 2019 will conclude on Saturday evening with a gala dinner and awards ceremony for competitors, dignitaries, and guests. The Fairmont Hotel in Washington, D.C. will be the host hotel accommodation for the final night.
