So ready to get my groove on again. Really happy that there is a full practice day. I have not run all winter and was just bumped up to expert classes so one or two butterflies for sure. Bikes are well and fully prepared though and the weather looks awesome.
One major thing i Am looking forward to is  my racing family and the CCS team again although i am preparing myself that it may not be the same with the restrictions. It will still be better than just about anything else i can think of so see you all there.

It was a really well run and safe event. The lines were long for registration but very professionally done by CCS and Blackhawk Farms staff. I entered eight races and got three second place finishes.
The weather was absolutely perfect and the lap records nearly fell. There were the usual frist race weekend incidents as people got their race legs under them but considering all that it was one of the safest and most fun race weekends i have been to in a long while.
This was my first weekend racing as an expert so with that and the long break we had i had some butterflies but they were gone after the second practice round. By the end of practice i was posting personal best times on both bikes.

I worked turn 7 all weekend and had a blast! Weather was perfect, cool at night, sunny all day but 0 humidity. Except a few racers and workers, most people I met had no problem with wearing a mask as they thought it was a small price to pay to be at the track. I focused on learning bike numbers and bike colors and by the end of the weekend I could identify most from a distance. At the next event in July I should be ahead of the game.
I thought the races were outstanding. A couple run a way leaders but on the whole the competition was fierce. I didnt get a rider count but the expert class was BIG! especially in medium and heavyweight classes.
