Has anyone on this board tried ever used a holeshot performance electric shifter?Being a left leg amputee I use a CycleCountry electric shift unit.It works well enough but the motor is pretty bulky making mounting space an issue.I have it mounted on the left side below the radiator next to the lower cylinder on my Aprilia and it pushes the lowers out on the left side about 3/4 of an inch.that is enough that I drag it through every left hand turn at Loudon.

i just saw these in rrw, http://www.translogicsystems.com/

i don't know if they'd help you, it looks like they have a hydraulic shift rod, but i'm not sure, the webpage doesn't help much either and they are expensive.

i was curious about the set up you're using as well.  i have very limited feeling in my left foot and miss a lot of shifts because of it (sometimes the lever too ;)).  are you using what is basically a three-wheeler shifter?  i've seen them before, i think that's what the guy who raced an aprilia cup bike was using (steward something).  when i still wasn't really walking, i looked into his setup, thinking about maybe dragracing, since my endurance took such a hit.  but fortunately, i learned to adapt to regular motorcycle racing and walking fairly well again.
