hey CCS Racer, Just out of curiosity how did your femur heal? When did you break it? Did you have your rod removed? I broke mine also 15 months ago in Atlanta and I am having MANY problems with my leg. Mostly due to the fact that I threw in a shattered patella. Let me know how your doing.

I broke it Memeorial Day weekend in '98. I crashed in T5 at Roebling in Expert MW Supersport. It wasn't a clean break in two. More of a split down the middle. I was told originally I had a rod inserted and would have to have it removed in about a year. After about a month of followup in Columbia,SC my doctor said there was no rod, just three screws putting it together. Needless to say after about a month of my insurance company investigating.... well you know. I was never in a cast since there was a lot of damage at the knee. I wore some machine in the hospital bed for three days that automatically bent my leg for me. Hell I walked two days after the break and even went to the Big Kahuna at Road A the following weekend. I didn't have full movement for about two years. It was always sore when it rained. Just now does it feel normal again. It gets a little stiff here and there and it "pops" sometimes too. I actually rode at the Bargy practice at the GNF in '98 too. My confidence wasn't at it's highest to say the least. I tried to ride for the next couple of years on my EX500 but "it" just wasn't there. Now I'm finally healed fully and got another 600. I'm ready to race again. :) I downgraded back to novice and plan on racing for fun instead of for the win now. ;)

QuoteThe P-51 mustang has a blower. I think they pulled about 60-80" of boost at WEP. Reno guys run them around 120+" of boost. God I love that plane.

OOPS!! I stand corrected  :-[  I still love the way they sound!!

David Pearson was number 21, he had a Biography written that was titled "21 forever".  My number (67) was the first two digit number that was available when I asked for any 2 digit number.  I guess the only odd thing about it is that the bike had a 76 on it when I bought it.

r6_philly

when I did my first track day with Team Pro-Motion, they gave me #977 as a member #. When I was at VIR last year after the race school, thats about the only number wasnt taken :) MA sure have a lot of racers

LRRS#52

My original # was 896 which stood for the month/year I started racing. Now it's 52 cause I got fast enough to get a 2-digit!  ;D

QuoteI always liked the number #69, but it was taken so I settled for #669, guess why I like that number??  :P

So tempting.....can't believe nobody has taken this bait yet.

Wade_Parish

OK, I'll take it. What's the significance of 669?
