O/T: Electric in your home -- Adding 240

OK, from my understanding, adding a 240 line would be easy for an electrician.

Anyone had a 240 circuit put in?

At some point, I'll be getting a vacuum/heat packaging machine, but the "small" ones use 25 amps on a 240 line. So, that would need to be added to the current breaker box.

Point is, if you've  had this done, what was the cost?

If you are needing a single phase circuit installed it will be no problem.  I installed a couple in my garage to run an air compressor, welder, etc.  If the vacuum pump has a three phase motor that is a different story.  You already have the necessary wiring to your home for the single phase but the three phase power would require the addition of another line to the house.

Standard sepc on the pump is single phase. So, I'd be set there.

Houses have 3 wires entering. Depending upon how you connect to the 3 wires you get 120v or 240v. It is really just a matter of having an electrician put in a 240v circuit breaker and connecting the wires.
