Hi

Can anyone help a newbie with what the differences are between the GP and GT classes?

Many thanks

GT races are mini-endurances, typically 30 minutes.

GP races are sprints.  Typically around 15-20 miles.

Many thanks for the quick reply. Looks like I made the right choice going with GP without realizing it!!

Thanks

Also checkout the rule book.  This will give you a good description as well.  In the GP classes, you can run just about anything.  Although, it is not as bad as it sounds.  Most people run the same bike in both classes.

Run everything you can to maximize your track time, especially in the beginning of the season.  Once you get about halfway through the season (if your money last that long  ???), it will be easier to decide which 3 or 4 classes you want to focus on, if not all of them  ;D.
